I met Omar Moheeddin on one of my weekly Saturday morning trips to Haymarket, the outdoor produce market near Boston’s North End. He and his family own six stands where they sell produce every Friday and Saturday.

As Moheeddin sorted through boxes of blueberries at one of their stands, he told me about the family business, his Lebanese background, and his life as a medical student.
